Photography

In March I decided to really pursue one of my passions. I have always enjoyed photography but wanted to enhance my hobby. I purchased my first DSLR and I am in LOVE! I spent hours researching makes, models, I even made multiple trips to different stores, picking apart the brains of knowledgeable salesmen. I asked every photographer I knew about what to consider, what matters most and least, and most importantly I kept in mind I was on a budget. I ended up with a Canon Rebel T2i and have not once looked back on my decision. I am not here to convince anyone that I am a professional photographer, in fact, I wouldn't even try to convince you I am decent. What matters most to me is the learning experience; the gain on knowledge, comfort, and experience. Up until March I did nothing more then dabble with DSLRs.

What I hope to achieve through this blog is to document the progress I make as I master my camera, lenses, ISO, aperture, exposure, and everything else that factors into photography. I hope to look back through these pages and watch the total transformation of skill. I don't look to be professional, I  just seek the sheer joy of capturing a moment, making art, and sharing my life through photos.

Good luck. ;-) We got our first DSLR after our second baby came along, and it's been awesome! (Ok, I should clarify: hubby's parents bought it as a Christmas gift, because they were tired of crummy shots of the grandkids they couldn't see daily. ;-))

That's great! What kind do you have? and how long until you were comfortable with manual mode or are do you just stick to automatic?
